Oh Sri Lanka again.

How great :D

I mean they were only here in

2015/16 and now
2018/19

Bangladesh were here in

2016/17 and now
2018/19

No Pakistan this summer :(

Pakistani cricket team in New Zealand in 2014–15
Pakistani cricket team in New Zealand in 2015–16
Pakistani cricket team in New Zealand in 2016–17
Pakistani cricket team in New Zealand in 2017–18

Yes - I am serious - Pakistan toured NZ 4 years in a row...

How many good fast and medium fast bowlers in NZ domestic ?
5 sL out for 0 with 88/8 today till Matthews hits 128* to lift them
210/9

Kumara gets nz xl opener
----
I think nZ may includes Either Rutherford or worker or Young vs
sL alone Latham (Tom)
White wash of NZ A in Newzeland. S. Kaul 4 w in 7 overs
Shai Hope (146*) & kemo Paul star in Historic wI win 2/2

Heaps.

That Sri Lankan game is the 9th ranked NZC team behind the test team, the A team, and the 6 FC sides playing today...

No Rudderfid nor Worker...

It is Greg hay or Will Young...

Will Young is the favourite - but Greg Hay just smacked a dbl ton and was top run scorer last season as well..

But Latham will get another chance to feast on Asian club (Bang and SL) attacks at home...

NZ will hammer SL. I feel Sorry for SL, but they have to bear it. The side is not good enough.

It is a very bad season for NZ. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in NZ is about as bad as it gets.

All it does is let ordinary players boost their stats and cement their positions, when in a years time, NZ is facing Aus in Aus, Eng and Ind here.

NZ test team vs SL

Ajaz Patel was New Zealand's match-winner in the first Test against Pakistan in UAE

William Somerville's impressive seven-wicket return on his Test debut in Abu Dhabi was not enough to merit him a place in the New Zealand squad for the first Test of the home season against Sri Lanka. Left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel was picked as the lone spinner in the 13-man squad with legspinner Ish Sodhi also deemed surplus to requirements on the traditionally seaming Basin Reserve pitch in Wellington.

Patel, 30, made his Test debut ahead of Somerville in the first Test of the series against Pakistan, picking match figures of 7 for 123 in New Zealand's four-run win. His call-up for the sub-continental challenge came after a sustained period of excellence in the domestic circuit where he finished as the leading wicket-taker in each of the last three seasons. Patel went on to play each of the three Tests in the campaign and was joined by Somerville for the series-clinching win in the final Test.

"Ajaz certainly grabbed his opportunity on the UAE tour and he's a proven performer in New Zealand conditions," said selector Gavin Larsen. "Will Somerville was an obvious stand-out on debut in the Abu Dhabi decider and it's great to know we've got quality spin bowlers who can create competition for places.

Central Stags batsman Will Young was also included as a batting backup after impressing in the ongoing 'A' series against India. Young scored a century in Sunday's 50-over clash in Mount Maunganui and replaces keeper-batsman Tom Blundell, who will return to Plunkett Shield action starting later this week.

"It's an exciting time for Will Young who has been pushing for higher honours for a while now. He scored hundreds against Pakistan A and India A in recent months and fully deserves his call-up."

Squad for 1st Test: Kane Williamson (c), Tom Latham, Jeet Raval, Ross Taylor, Henry Nicholls, BJ Watling, Colin de Grandhomme, Tim Southee, Neil Wagner, Ajaz Patel, Trent Boult, Matt Henry, Will Young
White wash of NZ A in Newzeland. S. Kaul 4 w in 7 overs
